Jazz/Afro/Modern (JAM) with a side of bluegrass, rock and R/B.

“JAM” classes present the Afro-fusion technique as developed by Ascential Dance Theater Colorado Curator and Founder, Jennifer Fagan Archer. African influenced movement and contemporary dance styles are blended together with a focus on the isolation of body parts, rhythm and poly-rhythms, turns and shifting weight. In addition to the technical skills developed in this class, the students will be exposed to international music and culture. This high energy technique class combines Classical Jazz, Afro-fused sounds and moves with the Modern styles of Dunham, Horton & Limon.

Our mission is to inhabit the performing arts to engage communities, promote  the value of arts preservation and education, and endorse the medium of dance as a complete artistic experience. The group will serve as a facilitator amongst its members, its audience and its community.
